It's your typical story. Girl is minding her own business, doing her own thing. Boy notices. Boy talks to girl. Girl thinks "hmm, this guy is cutefunnyintelligentdreamycharming," maybe I'll talk to him and see. Boy acts perfectly cutefunnyintelligentdreamycharming and makes Girl smile, which Boy reciprocates wholeheartedly. Girl and boy decide to leap. Girl falls hard and her parachute gets caught on a tree. Boy falls too but trajectory being what it is, lands in a cow chip studded field off course by a few miles. Boy stands up and having hit his head on the way down forgets what it was that brought him there, standing in the middle of freshly minted cow pile in the first place. He wipes off his boots, brushes off the seat of his pants and walks away, hitching a ride to town with the first trucker he sees. Meanwhile, Girl manages to set herself free and crawl down from the tree she was tangled in. Day turns to night and with no apparent head injury, Girl struggles to grope and feel her way out of the woods and back to the Boy's side. With no guide and a faulty sense of direction, Girl gets turned around and starts to panic. She calls out for Boy, but he's already back home hanging out with his friends, laughing about having woken up in the middle of a field off of I-90 and some county dirt road. Girl, gathering her wits, finally manages to find her way back to the highway and once again receiving a cell phone signal calls a friend for a ride. Upon returning home with no word from Boy, Girl worriedly wonders if he's still alive. Girl shows up at Boy's house and finds him scratching his head, bewildered and upset by the unsmiling Girl standing in his kitchen wringing her hands. Boy tells Girl to leave, giving her the odds and ends of feminine remains (which he figures aren't his) scattered around his room. Girl stubbornly goes after several failed attempts at reviving Boy's memory (*note to Girl, CPR and "mouth to mouth" are not constructive means of getting someones memory back). Weeks pass and Girl wakes up alone, still a little dazed by what went wrong. Boy finally washes his jeans, the one's with the grass and cow shit stains.
